The Second Bloomberg Emerging Artist

Following the success of the first Emerging Artist, YAF is delighted to announce the 2nd Emerging Artist, Phoebe Hui. She will be sponsored for a period of three months to create a series of artworks which will result in a major exhibition in Hong Kong. Phoebe has strong interest in experimentation with multiple art disciplines, including graphic design, art direction, comics, illustration, sonic art and audiovisual interactive technologies.

Within the project period, she is going to develop a sonic artwork based on an usual relation between words and sounds. As part of the programme the artist will conduct a workshop in August for young people. Interested students please register to BEAP@hkyaf.com with your name and contact number.

Bloomberg has a renowned reputation for supporting educational and cultural institutions worldwide, all of which promote public awareness and appreciation of the arts and encourage higher education. Since last year Bloomberg has worked together with YAF to present and develop the Emerging Artists Programme which aims to provide a platform to support the progress of a new generation of artists in Hong Kong, and to provide a springboard for them to adVisual Artsnce their artistic careers.
